Elderly Woman Dies after Hit by Vehicle on Center Road in Novato

 
NOVATO, CA (September 6, 2021) – A 76-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Center Road in Novato Friday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:10 p.m. on September 3, near South Novato Boulevard. According to the Novato Police Department, a vehicle was traveling west on Center Road when it struck the female pedestrian.
 
First responders rushed the woman to an area hospital, where the victim later succumbed to her injuries.
 
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
At this time, this fatality is under investigation. Investigators said drugs or alcohol did not appear to have contributed the crash.
