Elderly Woman Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver near Pioneer and Firestone Boulevards

 
NORWALK, CA (August 9, 2021) – A 75-year-old woman died in a hit-and-run crash near Pioneer Boulevard and Firestone Boulevard in Norwalk Sunday morning.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:15 a.m. on August 8. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, detectives who responded to the site found the woman lying on the ground with significant injuries.
 
The woman, whose identity was not immediately available, died at the scene.
 
The involved motorist reportedly fled without rendering aid.
 
At this time, sheriff’s deputies are still investigating the fatality and searching for the hit-and-run suspect.
