72-Year-Old David Bermudez Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Artesia Boulevard near Atlantic Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (November 23, 2021) — David Bermudez died days after a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Artesia Boulevard near Atlantic Avenue.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the hit-and-run happened on November 12 around 6:20 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver in a possible dark-colored Toyota Camry struck 72-year-old Bermudez.
As a result, the Long Beach man suffered severe injuries and died days later. Per the investigation, detectives learned that the driver was heading westbound when the car struck Bermudez as he was walking southbound across Artesia Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk.
