71-Year-Old Liem Bui Dead, Amanda Martin Detained in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash in Fountain Valley

 
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (January 17, 2022) — Liem Bui died in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Euclid Avenue near Heil Avenue, early Saturday.
 
According to the Orange County Register, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 5:40 a.m. For DUI-related reasons, 32-year-old Amanda Martin struck 71-year-old Bui.
 
From there, the Fountain Valley woman left the scene of the crash.
 
Due to the nature of the accident, Bui suffered major injuries and died moments later.
 
Following the accident, police were able to identify Martin as the driver of the hit-and-run and arrested her on suspicion of DUI, felony hit-and-run and other charges.
