67-Year-Old Dimas Borba, Adam Fagundas Hurt, Adam Ramsay Uninjured After Car Crashes Into River on Highway 132 near Gates Road

 
MODESTO, CA (March 21, 2023) — Dimas Borba and Adam Fagundas were injured in a two-car accident on Highway 132 near Gates Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision happened on Wednesday. For unknown reasons, 40-year-old Adam Ramsay, of Modesto, allowed his eastbound Toyota to cross the center line. As a result, the Toyota went into the westbound lanes where it struck a westbound RAM pickup truck.
 
The driver of the pickup truck, 67-Year-Old Borba, lost control of the wheel, causing the RAM to travel in a southwesterly direction before it left the road and plunged into the San Joaquin River.
 
Borba and his 58-year-old passenger, Fagundas, were wearing their seatbelts and exited the vehicle before it became fully submerged in the waters. About 40 minutes later, rescue crews arrived to save Borba and Fagundas from the swift frigid river.
 
Following the accident, medical staff treated Borba for hyperthermia and Fagundas for his minor injuries. Ramsay, however, was unharmed during the incident and was not believed to be impaired. However, an investigation into the details should reveal more information.
