66-year-old Jane Park Killed, Jong Park, Young Park Hurt in Single-Car Crash on Rubicon Drive near Emerald Bay Road

 
LAKE TAHOE, CA (August 22, 2022) — Jane Park died days after a solo-car accident on Rubicon Drive near Emerald Bay Road on August 8.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 1:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, 75-year-old Jong Park lost control of his 2018 Honda vehicle as he steered his southbound car to the right to make room for a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.
 
As a result, the Honda made an unsafe turning movement on a curved part of the highway and crashed into two trees and a mile marker.
 
Shortly after, paramedics reached the scene and brought 66-year-old passenger Jane Park to Renown Medical Center in Reno, where she died on August 12.
 
Another passenger identified as 44-year-old Young Park had abrasions and cuts while Jong Park reported pain.
