65-Year-Old Woman Dies in Merced Pedestrian Crash on Childs Avenue

 
MERCED, CA (July 30, 2021) — A 65-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on Childs Avenue at N Street Wednesday morning.
 
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred around 2:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, the 65-year-old woman was lying on the road just before the driver struck her.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and rushed the victim to a hospital where she died. Meanwhile, the driver stayed back and cooperated with police investigators.
