65-Year-Old Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 in Madera

 
MADERA, CA (May 12, 2022) — A 65-year-old man died in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on Highway 99 at Avenue 9 on Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run accident happened around 11:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a white car entered the path of a motorcyclist heading east on Avenue 9. As the driver attempted a left turn, the vehicle came into the motorcyclist’s path.
 
Instinctively, the motorcyclist tried to avoid the crash, never actually hitting the vehicle, but the evasive action caused him to be thrown off his bike.
 
The man, described as a 65-year-old, suffered fatal injuries and died at Community Regional Medical Center.
 
As for the driver, he or she had left the scene following the incident.
 
At this time, CHP investigators need the public’s help in locating the suspect involved in this hit-and-run. Thus, if anyone had more details, please call the CHP.
