CHICO, CA (February 21, 2022) — A 6-year-old girl suffered critical injuries in a pedestrian accident on Highway 32 at Muir Avenue on Thursday evening.
 
According to reports, the pedestrian accident happened around 6:00 p.m. For unknown reasons, a bevy of pedestrians ran out into the roadway when an eastbound driver in a Chevy Suburban struck a 6-year-old girl on the highway.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and brought the critically injured child to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
 
Following the accident, investigators interviewed the driver in the crash, which involved neither drugs nor alcohol.
