5 Hurt in Hesperia Rollover Crash on Escondido Avenue

 
HESPERIA, CA (April 4, 2022) — Five people were injured in a rollover accident on Escondido Avenue near Hollister Street on Friday evening.
 
According to reports, the rollover accident happened around 8:24 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Escondido Avenue. For unknown reasons, a white 1997 Honda Accord collided with a black pickup and overturned several times.
 
As a result, five people, including the pickup driver, suffered a range of injuries. Shortly after the accident, San Bernardino County Fire and Hesperia Police responded to find one male passenger trapped inside the Honda and three Honda occupants with minor injuries who were able to escape the wreckage.
 
Soon after, they transported the trapped victim to a trauma center for treatment.
 
At this time, officers have not confirmed if DUI played a factor. However, witnesses reported the smell of alcohol coming from the Honda. If anyone has more information on this crash, please contact the authorities.
