Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Accident on 15 Freeway in Barstow

 
BARSTOW, CA (July 13, 2021) – A 4-month-old girl, an 85-year-old man, and a woman died in an accident on 15 Freeway on July 7.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at L Street at approximately 7:10 AM.
 
Based on reports, a Buick was southbound on the freeway prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it lost control near L Street. Subsequently, the Buick collided with the metal guardrail on the west side of the freeway, veered to the left across all southbound lanes, crashed through a center divider, and entered the northbound lanes. Then, it collided head-on with a Toyota SUV.
 
As a result, the driver of the Toyota, a 31-year-old North Las Vegas woman, her 4-month-old passenger, and the 85-year-old driver of the Buick died in the crash. A 10-year-old in the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was flown by Mercy Air to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.
 
At this point, this accident on 15 Freeway is still under investigation. In addition, officials ask witnesses with information on the collision to contact the Barstow office at 760-255-5900.
