3-Year-Old Madelynn Negruser Struck, Killed by Van Reversing Out of Driveway on 24th Street near Q Street
RIO LINDA, CA (May 23, 2022) — Madelynn Grace Negruser died after being hit and killed by a van that was backing out of a driveway on 24th Street near Q Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened around 6:10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 17. In the 7200 block of 24th Street, Negruser’s father was reversing out of the driveway in a Dodge Sprinter van.
Subsequently, the van struck the 3-year-old child near the car’s left rear.
Soon after, authorities responded to the scene and medics pronounced the girl deceased shortly thereafter.
At this time, CHP authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol to have played a role in the incident. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm any unclear details.
