3 Students Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Bus Crash on Highway 74 in Hemet
HEMET, CA (June 16, 2023) — Three students suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run bus accident on Highway 74 near Florida Avenue.
According to reports, the two-vehicle crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on June 9. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of a white Toyota Camry struck a Hemet Unified School District school bus and left the scene.
Reports said that the Toyota Camry had just collided with another vehicle in a parking lot on Florida Avenue before it crashed into the school bus.
Due to the collision, three students suffered minor injuries and the bus sustained moderate damage. Arriving paramedics took the three youths to a regional trauma center for treatment.
