3 Hurt After 2 Cars Collide near Olive Drive in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 24, 2025) — Three people were injured in a 2-car accident on Olive Drive and Knudsen Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 11:31 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, an eastbound Toyota Camry ran a red light. Subsequently, the driver collided with a southbound Mini Cooper on Knudsen Drive.
The impact was so great that one car crashed and destroyed a power pole and a fire hydrant.
Subsequently, firefighter-paramedics arrived at the scene and transported two people in the Toyota with major injuries to Kern Medical. A third person in the same car reported minor wounds. Although four people were occupying the Mini Cooper, neither of them reported any injuries.
Following the crash, CHP investigators did not say if DUI factored into the crash.
