2 Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 50 near Mather Field Road
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (December 21, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 50, Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 20, shortly before 10:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, at least six vehicles became involved in a collision near Mather Field Road.
Emergency crews transported two people to a local hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. A third person also sustained injuries but did not need hospitalization.
Responders temporarily closed affected lanes until 11:20 p.m. to make way for clearing operations.
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
