Suspected DUI Driver Causes Head-On Crash on Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay

 
HALF MOON BAY, CA (August 14, 2022) – Three people were injured in a DUI head-on accident on Highway 1 in Half Moon Bay on Wednesday, August 10.
 
The accident happened around 4:15 p.m. near the Half Moon Bay Airport, just south of Moss Beach. According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a sedan.
 
As a result of the crash, two men inside the SUV and a woman in the sedan sustained unspecified injuries. Paramedics transported them to Stanford Hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the SUV is suspected of driving under the influence, the CHP said.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
