2 Children Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run on East Bobier Drive near East Vista Way in Vista

 
VISTA, CA (June 27, 2022) – Three people, including two children, sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on East Bobier Drive on Friday evening.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened on June 24 at about 9:00 p.m. A Toyota Camry reportedly pulled out of a shopping center and broadsided a motorcycle near East Vista Way.
 
The impact of the collision ejected the rider from the motorcycle. Emergency crews transported the victim to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
 
As per reports, the driver of the Toyota Camry immediately fled the area. However, authorities later located the driver and discovered that there were three children inside the Toyota.
 
Deputies transported two of the children to Rady Children’s Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Officers arrested the 31-year-old Toyota driver on suspicion of a hit-and-run causing injury, willful child neglect, and driving without a license. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
