Big Rig and Pickup Truck Involved in Head-On Accident on Highway 175 in Mendocino County

 
MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (September 14, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a head-on accident involving a big rig and a pickup truck on Highway 175 on Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on September 13 at about 1:42 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a big rig and a silver Toyota pickup collided head-on.
 
Emergency crews rendered aid to three injured victims. However, it is unknown if the victims needed hospitalization.
 
As per reports, the big rig blocked both lanes of Highway 175. Responders temporarily closed affected areas to make way for clearing operations.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
