3 Arrested after Stolen Car Accident on 5 Freeway [Sacramento, CA]

Injuries Reported after Stolen Car Accident on 5 Freeway near Q Street in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 6, 2021) – Three people were arrested following a stolen car accident on 5 Freeway, early Thursday morning.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened on December 2. Officers spotted a vehicle that had been reported stolen near 16th Street and J Street. Then, officers pursued the stolen vehicle until it crashed near Q Street off-ramp from 5 Freeway.
 
Authorities arrested two passengers inside the stolen vehicle. An ambulance later transported the passengers to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
As per reports, the driver exited the stolen vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Then, the driver ran into a nearby apartment complex, where officers eventually arrested the suspect.
 
Authorities did not release the names of the suspects.
 
Sacramento police continue to investigate the accident.
