2-Year-Old Jacob Gomez, Monica Guzman Among 4 Hurt in Alleged DUI Crash on Highway 50 near Cameron Park

 
SIERRA NEVADA, CA (February 1, 2022) — Jacob Ixcoy Gomez and Monica Guzman were among four people injured in a possible DUI accident on Highway 50 near Cameron Park Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-vehicle crash happened around 6:00 p.m. For potential DUI-related reasons, a 28-year-old man driving a 2005 Toyota Tacoma lost control of the vehicle.
 
Subsequently, the Toyota overturned on the westbound lanes of the highway and ejected 2-year-old Gomez and 19-year-old Guzman.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded to the scene and brought Guzman, Gomez, a 22-year-old woman and a 1-year-old girl to UC Davis Medical Center for immediate care.
 
As for the unidentified driver, he did not sustain any injuries.
