DUI Head-On Accident on Highway 116 in Sebastopol Hurts Child

 
SEBASTOPOL, CA (August 31, 2021) – A 2-year-old child sustained injuries in a DUI head-on accident on Highway 116 in Sebastopol Monday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:51 a.m. on August 30, near Daywalt Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Honda Accord and a red SUV collided head-on when one of them veered into the path of the other.
 
When officers arrived, they located both cars blocking the eastbound lanes of the highway. They also found the child in one of the vehicles suffering from minor to major injuries.
 
Paramedics transported the juvenile to a local hospital for proper treatment.
 
Police believe that one of the drivers had been driving under the influence at the time of the crash. They urged witnesses to contact them for further information.
