Two People Suffer Serious Injuries after 2 Cars Collide on Piner Road in Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, CA (April 11, 2022) – Two people suffered serious injuries in a two-car accident on Piner Road in Santa Rosa on Saturday evening.
The accident happened around 7:10 p.m. on April 9 at Bay Village Circle near the Epicenter. According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, two cars collided in the area for unknown reasons.
When officers arrived, they located the two cars at the railroad tracks with both drivers suffering from major but non-life-threatening injuries.
Paramedics transported the drivers to a hospital for proper treatment.
Crews closed the eastbound lanes of Piner Road at Bay Village Circle for about an hour while they cleared the wreckage.
SMART officials were notified of the crash just in case a train was coming.
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
