2 People Hurt in San Diego Hit-and-Run Accident on San Pasqual Valley Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 30, 2021) — Two people were injured in a hit-and-run accident on San Pasqual Valley Road near the San Diego Zoo Safari Park Tuesday evening.
 
According to San Diego Police, the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. Per the investigation, a driver tried to make a U-turn in a driveway at the zoo. However, his vehicle struck a Hyundai Sonata, driven by a 41-year-old woman.
 
Soon after the crash, the man who had tried to make the U-turn ran off to an open service gate at the park. Subsequently, officers caught on to him and arrested him for hit-and-run and DUI.
 
As a result of the accident, the woman sustained a broken arm, and the man suffered a fractured ankle.
