2 Men Die in 2-Vehicle Crash on Tampa Avenue in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 11, 2024) — Two men died in a 2-car accident on Tampa Avenue at Atlanta Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Police, the fatal two-car crash happened around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a 20-year-old man driving a northbound BMW collided with a white Toyota turning left onto Atlanta Avenue.
Subsequently, neighbors in the Porter Ranch neighborhood who heard the crash rushed to help the injured, finding two men trapped inside the Toyota. Upon responding, emergency crews used the Jaws of Life to free the 58-year-old man and 50-year-old man from the Toyota. Sadly, both men passed away. Officials have not released their identities.
As for the 20-year-old BMW driver, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital. Officers do not believe drugs or alcohol factored into the crash, but they have yet to identify what happened here.
