Pickup Truck Broadsides Rescue Ambulance on Van Nuys Boulevard in Pacoima Injuring 4 People Including 2 Paramedics

 
PACOIMA, CA (September 14, 2023) – Two men were critically injured in a broadside accident on Van Nuys Boulevard in Pacoima early Sunday morning on September 10.
 
The accident happened around 12:35 a.m. at San Fernando Road. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a full-size pickup truck broadsided a rescue ambulance in unclear circumstances. The impact caused the pickup to slam into a nearby utility pole.
 
The two adult male occupants of the pickup were badly trapped in the wreckage. Both were transported to a regional trauma center in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, two paramedics inside the ambulance suffered minor to moderate injuries.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
