Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 13, 2022) — Two people died in a multi-vehicle accident on the 15 Freeway near Bear Valley Road.
 
According to reports, the fatal multi-vehicle collision happened around 4:56 a.m. on Monday. On the southbound 15 Freeway, two tractor-trailer semis, a white van and an unrecognizable work truck crashed. As a result of the accident, two people died at the scene, and paramedics saw one person in critical condition.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel requested a Mercy Air helicopter to land on 15 Freeway to airlift the injured male to Antelope Valley Hospital.
 
The drivers of the semi-trucks and the van were unharmed in the crash. According to reports, the three men in one of the vehicles were on their way to work in the Inland Empire at the time of the accident.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, crews had to close the southbound 15 Freeway, backing up traffic for miles until 10:30 a.m.
 
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the leading cause of the accident. The fatal victims’ names are unavailable, but we will update this report once we receive more information.
