Palmdale Hit-and-Run at 10th Street West, 2 People Dead
PALMDALE, CA (February 4, 2021) — Two people died in a hit-and-run at 10th Street West and Avenue O-8 Saturday evening.
According to authorities, the fatal accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. Upon arriving, deputies found a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man dead at the scene.
In their investigation, detectives determined that a black 2015 Chrysler ran a red light at the intersection. While entering the intersection, the northbound Chrysler slammed into a westbound dark gray 2018 Honda Civic.
As a result of the crash, the Honda driver and passenger died at the scene. However, prior to officers’ arrival, the Chrysler driver fled on foot, leaving authorities on the hunt for his whereabouts.
