2 Drivers Hospitalized after Gorman Three-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway

 
GORMAN, CA (January 19, 2023) – Two people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway, Tuesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on January 17, at about 7:30 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle spun out and struck the center divider. Then, a second vehicle pulled over to help.
 
A short time later, a third vehicle spun out of control and hit the two stopped vehicles. As per reports, the drivers of the stopped vehicles were outside when the collision happened.
 
Emergency crews transported both drivers to Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia for treatment of minor to major injuries.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
