2 Drivers Die in 2-Car Crash on Avenal Cutoff Road in Kings County

 
KINGS COUNTY, CA (May 2, 2023) — Two drivers died in a 2-car accident on Avenal Cutoff Road and Laurel Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle collision happened around 3:00 p.m. Sunday. For unknown reasons, a 42-year-old man piloting a northbound Chrysler veered toward the southbound lanes at an unknown speed. Subsequently, the Chrysler crashed into a southbound Toyota, driven by a 37-year-old man.
 
Both drivers died in the accident, and a 17-year-old boy and a 48-year-old woman in the Chrysler were taken to a nearby hospital for care.
 
Investigators have yet to confirm the factors leading to the accident. However, an ongoing investigation should reveal more details.
