2 Drivers Hurt in San Diego DUI Accident on 45th Street

 
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA (May 10, 2021) — Two drivers were injured in a DUI accident on 45th Street near Ocean View Boulevard Saturday evening.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the two-car crash happened around 6:08 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, a 2003 red Ford Ranger heading southbound entered the intersection and crashed into a 2012 black Ford Fusion. In the investigation, authorities say the 35-year-old man driving the Ford Fusion ran a stop sign.
 
As a result, both he and the 49-year-old man driving the Ranger suffered moderate injuries. Following the crash, authorities determined that alcohol had likely played a factor. However, an investigation into the ultimate cause and circumstances remains.
