2 Killed, DUI Crash on Woodman Avenue in Mission Hills

 
MISSION HILLS, CA (January 17, 2023) — Two people died in a DUI accident on Woodman Avenue near Devonshire Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the two-car collision happened around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. In the 10100 block of Woodman Avenue, a suspected drunk driver heading northbound on Woodman Avenue drove into the southbound lanes. Subsequently, the car crashed into a parked vehicle, killing a male rear-seat passenge in the moving vehicle.
 
Soon after, paramedics rushed a female passenger to a nearby hospital, where she died moments later. The driver stayed at the scene and was later apprehended on suspicion of DUI. Authorities do not have the names of the victims but did describe them as adults in their 20s.
 
At this time, information surrounding the factors that led to the crash requires an investigation. If anyone has more details, please call the Los Angeles police.
