2 Dead in 2-Car Accident on Avenue R near 100th Street [Palmdale, CA]

2 Killed in 2-Car Crash on Avenue R in Palmdale

 
PALMDALE, CA (January 6, 2023) — Two people died in a 2-car accident on Avenue R near 100th Street Thursday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car crash happened around 2:41 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a red compact car and a white truck collided on R Street. The collision also took down a utility pole and power lines.
 
Shortly after, Southern California Edison and paramedics responded to the scene, but two people died shortly after.
 
Authorities closed Avenue R from 100th Street to 10 and Street for the investigation.
 
At this time, the victims’ names and the cause of the accident are unavailable. Though, if anyone has more information, please call the CHP.
