Two People Killed in Cajon Pass Car Accident on 15 Freeway

 
CAJON PASS, CA (December 2, 2021) — Two people died in a 2-car accident on the 15 Freeway near Oak Hill Road Wednesday morning.
 
According to officials, the fatal two-car accident happened around 4:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a Mitsubishi car became disabled in the No. 2 lane in the Cajon Pass. Shortly after, a 47-year-old man from Apple Valley driving a red Ford C-Max did not see the disabled vehicle. As a result, the Ford collided with the Mitsubishi, causing the Mitsubishi to rupture in flames.
 
Shortly after, firefighters responded after Good Samaritans pulled the 60-year-old male passenger out of the burning vehicle.
 
However, as the Mitsubishi driver died at the scene, the passenger died later at a hospital.
 
At this time, California Highway Patrol officers plan to look into this case more closely. However, anyone with insight into this crash can call the CHP.
