2 Children Hospitalized in Watts Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Compton Avenue

 
WATTS, CA (May 21, 2021)— Two children suffered injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Compton Avenue near 92nd Street.
 
According to the Los Angeles police, a maroon Chevrolet Cruze heading southbound on Compton Avenue struck two 8-year-old pedestrians crossing the thoroughfare. Unfortunately, the driver did not stop and fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
 
Soon after, the Los Angeles Fire Department transported the children to a hospital in critical condition. At this time, officers need witnesses’ help in identifying the suspect and whereabouts of the driver. If anyone has more information, please contact the LAPD.
