2 Arrested After High-Speed Pursuit in San Gabriel Valley [Pomona, CA]

Street Racer Leads Authorities to High-Speed Chase in San Gabriel Valley

 
POMONA, CA (February 24, 2021) — The authorities arrested two people after a high-speed pursuit in San Gabriel Valley on the night of February 10, Wednesday.
 
Based on information released by the California Highway Patrol, the chase spanned several freeways in the area of Pomona. This includes eastbound 60 Freeway, northbound 57 Freeway through Walnut Avenue, and eastbound 10 Freeway.
 
At the intersection of Azusa Avenue and Puente Hills, the car crashed into another vehicle. No information was available on whether anyone was hurt.
 
The CHP reported that the pursuit ended in Pomona at about 10:30 p.m. The driver stopped the vehicle near Burdick Drive and White Avenue. Subsequently, the officers took the female driver and a passenger into custody.
 
According to CHP, the driver was wanted for street racing out of Hacienda Heights. The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
