Lindsey Shaver Charged with DUI after Accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County

 
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (March 22, 2021) – Police arrested 19-year-old Lindsey Shaver following a major accident on Pacific Coast Highway on March 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near a gravel pullout at approximately 6:58 PM.
 
Based on a report, Lindsey Shaver of Camarillo was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer sport utility vehicle southbound on the highway at the time of the crash. At that time, her passenger, an 18-year-old Camarillo woman, was sitting on the edge of the Explorer’s open sunroof while taking cell phone video. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted off the road. Then, the SUV rolled over, throwing the passenger from the vehicle.
 
As a result, the passenger suffered major injuries in the incident. Medics transported the victim to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. Shaver suffered minor injuries and declined medical treatment.
 
Officials said Shaver showed signs of impairment. Consequently, police arrested her on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing injury to another.
