19-Year-Old Man Dies in San Diego Skateboard Accident on Voigt Drive

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 8, 2021) — A 19-year-old man was killed in a skateboard accident on Voigt Drive near Gilman Drive Friday night.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the fatal accident happened around 11:35 p.m. at UC San Diego.
 
For unclear reasons, the man lost control while riding and fell off his skateboard. Subsequently, the skateboarder landed on the roadway, where a westbound Nissan Maxima ran over him.
 
As a result of the accident, the unidentified victim died at the scene. However, it remains unclear if the 20-year-old driver of the Nissan was at fault.
