17-Year-Old Molly Burgess Dies in Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 49 near O’Hara Drive

 
SONORA, CA (March 4, 2021) — Molly Burgess died in a hit-and-run accident on Highway 49 near O’Hara Drive on February 28.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers received a call about an accident around 5:30 p.m.
 
When police were dispatched to the scene, they found 17-year-old Burgess in a ditch with major injuries. However, despite having received life-saving efforts, the teen died shortly after.
