Two Sanger Unified School District Students Hit by Car While Crossing Almond Avenue and Bethel Avenue Intersection

SANGER, CA (February 26, 2025) – A student died and another suffered serious injuries following a pedestrian accident on Almond Avenue and Bethel Avenue, Tuesday evening.

According to the Sanger Police Department, the incident happened on February 25, at about 7:20 p.m. Two Sanger Unified School District students were crossing the intersection when a car hit them.

Responders rushed the victims to Community Regional Medical Center. One of the victims, identified as a 17-year-old boy, was later pronounced dead.

As per reports, the other victim, described as a 17-year-old girl, remains in critical buy stable condition.

Authorities did not release the names of the victims.

Officers confirmed that the driver remained at the scene.

Sanger police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
