17-Year-Old Driver Dead after Car Accident on Hall Road near Myrtle Road in Lamont

 
LAMONT, CA (March 8, 2022) – A teen driver was killed in a car accident on Hall Road on Tuesday, March 1.
 
The Kern County coroner’s office identified the victim as 17-year-old Christopher Jacob Victoria of Bakersfield.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal solo-car crash happened at about 9:00 p.m. Victoria was not wearing a seatbelt at the time when he lost control on Hall Road. The vehicle crashed over a raised concrete curb into a brick wall and ironwood fence near Myrtle Avenue. That is where police located the victims.
 
Victoria died at the scene.
 
An ambulance transported another 17-year-old male passenger to Kern Medical for treatment of major injuries.
 
CHP ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
