Fatal Train Accident on Santa Fe Way in Northwest Bakersfield, Teen Killed

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 15, 2021) – A juvenile was killed in a train accident on Santa Fe Way near Renfro Road Sunday evening.
 
The Kern County coroner’s office identified the teen as 17-year-old Anthony Lee Terrill Jr.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on April 11.
 
said the collision happened just before 6:30 p.m. at the railroad tracks near Santa Fe Way north of Renfro Road. The teen was walking on the tracks at the time of the crash.
 
Officers located Terrill who had died at the scene due to his injuries.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors. The circumstances of this fatal crash remain under investigation.
