15-Year-Old Dies in Redding Stolen Car Accident at Mistletoe Lane

 
REDDING, CA (August 31, 2021) — A 15-year-old died in a stolen car accident at Mistletoe Lane and Hilltop Drive early Sunday.
 
According to the Redding Police Department, the fatal two-car accident happened just before 3:00 a.m. Per the investigation, Redding Police abandoned a chase with a reportedly stolen 2017 Honda Accord.
 
At some point during its escape, the Honda Accord blew through a red traffic light and crashed into a Nissan Sentra.
 
As a result of the accident, the 42-year-old Nissan driver suffered moderate injuries and required hospital care. Tragically, a 15-year-old, whose name has not been released, died at the scene and two teen girls in the Honda left the area. However, both were found later and taken to the hospital for treatment.
 
In addition to those injured, two teens sought hospital treatment. At this time, authorities have much to investigate with this crash. Although, if anyone has more information on this accident, please contact the Redding Police Department.
