Car Rolls Over on 10 Freeway in Redlands Killing Teen Passenger and Injuring Four Others
REDLANDS, CA (May 11, 2023) – A 15-year-old boy was killed in a rollover accident on 10 Freeway in Redlands Friday last week on May 5.
The fatal accident happened around 9:51 p.m., just west of Alabama Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2004 Honda Accord was traveling in the westbound lanes of the freeway when it veered to the right, struck a streetlight pole and overturned.
The 15-year-old San Bernardino resident, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car. He died at the scene.
Four other people in the car, including the 18-year-old driver, suffered moderate injuries.
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
