Juvenile Dies after Struck by SUV on Choiceana Avenue in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (May 30, 2022) – An 11-year-old boy was hit and killed by a car on Choiceana Avenue in Hesperia on Saturday afternoon, May 28.
 
The accident happened around 12:35 p.m. at Hercules Street. According to the Hesperia Police Department, the boy was riding his skateboard when a gray-colored SUV struck him.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the boy to a hospital, where the victim died a short time later.
 
The female driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with deputies.
 
Crews closed Choiceana Avenue in both directions for a couple of hours while they cleared the wreckage.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
