Two Trapped after Two-Vehicle Accident on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach

 
PACIFIC BEACH, CA (March 7, 2021) – One person sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Grand Avenue, Sunday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, the incident happened at about 10:08 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, two vehicles collided at 2475 Grand Avenue in front of Mission Bay High School.
 
The impact of the crash trapped two people in the vehicles.
 
Emergency crews extricated one vehicle occupant and rushed the victim to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla with serious injuries. Authorities did not release the name and condition of the victim.
 
Responders also extricated another vehicle occupant. As per reports, the second victim did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
 
The San Diego Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
