1 Person Dies in Multi-Car Crash on Highway 4 in Martinez

 
MARTINEZ, CA (February 2, 2023) — One person died in Wednesday’s multi-car accident on Highway 4 near Pine Street.
 
According to California Highway Patrol officers, the fatal crash took place around 4:17 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, several cars crashed near the Pine Street off-ramp. One person died in the accident. However, reports did not specify the victim’s name.
 
Due to the accident, CHP officers diverted traffic off the highway onto John Muir Parkway at Morello Avenue.
