WESTCHESTER, CA (May 5, 2022) — One person died in a car crash on the 405 Freeway near Howard Hughes Parkway on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred around 2:46 a.m. For unknown reasons, a car crash occurred on the southbound 405 Freeway.
 
CHP officers found one person, who ejected from a vehicle, dead at the scene.
 
Due to the investigation, authorities closed the carpool lane and Howard Hughes Parkway on-ramp.
