1 Person Dies in Car Crash on Brookhurst Street in Huntington Beach

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (May 27, 2022) — One person died in a car accident on Brookhurst Street near Hamilton Avenue on Thursday evening.
 
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the fatal accident took place around 8:10 p.m. after a pursuit with Fountain Valley Police.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver previously chased by officers crashed into at least one car near the Santa Ana River.
 
Upon responding to the scene, authorities found one person dead and another with injuries of unknown severity. Soon after, paramedics brought the surviving individual to a hospital for treatment.
 
At this time, authorities have neither confirmed the leading cause of the accident nor whether the fatal victim had been the driver involved in the pursuit.
