Fatal 2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 58 in Barstow

 
BARSTOW, CA (February 14, 2025) — One person died in a 2-car accident on Highway 58 near Ramirez Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Tuesday crash happened around 2:36 p.m. Witnesses said the driver of a white Chevrolet pickup was speeding before it collided with a possible Toyota Camry.
 
Subsequently, officers arrived and found the truck on its side with major front-end damage and the Toyota with significant front- and passenger-side damage.
 
Barstow Fire Department officials rendered life-saving efforts on the Chevrolet driver; however, that individual died at the scene. Officials did not release the victim’s name.
 
Following the crash, police searched the scene for an explanation. However, they did not specify the factors.
