1 Person Hurt in Hayward Multi-Car Crash on 880 Freeway

 
HAYWARD, CA (April 21, 2022) — One person was injured in a multi-car accident on the 880 Freeway near Tennyson Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle accident happened around 6:58 a.m. on Tuesday. For unknown reasons, five cars crashed on the northbound side. Due to the accident, commuters faced severe traffic backup, as they moved at about 10 miles per hour.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and treated one person with an unknown injury.
 
At this time, authorities have not shared information on the primary cause of the accident. Although, any witnesses with information to share should contact the CHP.
